Our mother, Molly Townson - beloved wife of Ken Johnson - wished to be buried in Guestling Church, where she was both organist and choir director. The funeral was held there on Friday 17th May at 11:00 a.m. The church was full to overflowing. People attending were invited to dress for spring or summer.
 A reception and celebration followed, to which all were welcome, at The Two Sawyers, Pett Rd, Pett from 1pm. 

Rather than flowers being sent to the funeral we suggest you instead make a donation to the Hastings Music Festival’s newly inaugurated Molly Townson Bursary Fund (for young people intending to pursue a career in performing arts) - www.hastingsmusicalfestival.org.uk - a generous anonymous sponsor will match all donations given to the fund in our mother’s name. She would have loved this idea, as those who knew her will know.
